Tigre, located in Buenos Aires Province, takes its name from the early hunting of jaguars, once commonly called tigers, in the surrounding wetlands. Today, it is a peaceful retreat from the capital and the gateway to the Paraná Delta islands. Known for its houses on stilts, winding rivers, and boat-based way of life, Tigre offers a completely different rhythm from central Buenos Aires, shaped by water, nature, and the communities living along its banks.
